Individual therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is where we collaboratively work together to set your treatment goals. There is no one-size-fits-all all in therapy; in our session will address personal issues and difficulties that you are dealing with. This is an opportunity to explore your beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to gain insight and understanding of yourself while developing the skills needed to heal the past and present wounds so you may live a better version of yourself.

Couple Therapy

Couple Therapy

Couple therapy provides pre-marital, married, and unmarried couples therapy. No matter what stage of a relationship you are in, there will be conflicts and disagreements that make it difficult to understand your partner. These challenges can affect a couple’s ability to trust and communicate with one another. In couples therapy, you and your partner will meet with a therapist to reconnect your relationship by building trust, addressing issues that are affecting your relationship, to creating a stronger and healthier relationship.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy

Working with a therapist can help your family regain a sense of wholeness and bring restoration to function in a healthy way. In family therapy, family members will attend together, set goals, and learn ways to improve communication, resolve conflicts, have a greater understanding, and deepen connections with one another, leading to a more harmonious family dynamic.

Parenting support

Parenting Support

Being a parent is a wonderful experience, but it can also have its challenges. Each child is different and comes with their own temperament, personality, and quirks.  Just when you feel you have mastered the parenting game, a new change comes: the birth of another child, your child entering a new stage of life, or a change within the family dynamics. With changes, that means our parenting style also has to change, while maintaining a healthy bond with our children. Parenting classes are for parents/caregivers who are seeking support; we offer guidance and support to help parents/ caregivers develop effective parenting skills, manage challenging behaviors, and foster healthy family relationships.

Child-Parent Psychotherapy

Child-Parent Psychotherapy

Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is a mental health intervention for young children (age 0-5) and their parents or caregivers who have experienced trauma (e.g., physical or sexual abuse, serious accident, medical trauma, exposure to domestic violence, sudden traumatic loss of someone close) and, as a result are experience mental health problems, behavioral challenges, and attachment issues. The goal for CPP is to support and strengthen the parent-child relationship to restore a sense of safety and promote healthy development and attachment to their parent or caregiver.

Child Therapy

Child Therapy

Child therapy or play therapy is the language of young children. Most children have a difficult time expressing their thoughts and feelings when experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma, and their symptoms appear more as challenging behaviors. During our session, I use humor, curiosity, and games to engage with your children. Although it might look like we are playing, we are actually working through stressful experiences, learning coping skills, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Child therapy is not only for younger children, but plenty of older children and teens have also benefited from the power of play.

Christian counseling

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling or faith-based counseling uses a traditional therapeutic approach while incorporating faith and spirituality. We understand how anxiety, depression, stress, or even trauma can impact one’s faith and cause one to doubt their purpose in God. We recognize how important your faith and your relationship with God are to you and how challenging it may be to talk to somebody who does not understand your faith. Here in Selah Season of Change, we create a safe space for God to work in your heart as we are navigating our journey of healing. With the client’s permission, biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection are used to help find healing and growth for the body, mind, soul, and spirit

“For I know the plan I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11
